Michiru's Miso Recipes

Miso Dip

2 tablespoons Miso
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 clove garlic

Crush or fine-chop garlic. Mix other ingredients with garlic in a bowl. Prepare raw vegetable plate and serve with Miso dip.

Miso and Vinegar

1 tablespoon Miso
2 tablespoons vinegar and oil
2/3 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon Japanese mustard

Combine ingredients in a big bowl and mix well.Add favorite vegetables. This is especially great for a seafood salad such as lightly boiled squid cut in pieces with tomatoes and lettuce.

Miso and Sesame

1 tablespoon sesame
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon Miso
1 tablespoon lemon juice or vinegar
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon soy sauce
hot pepper

Crush sesame roughly. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients well. If a lighter taste is desired, use more lemon juice and soy sauce.

Use this dressing on Chinese style salad: chopped lettuce, green bean thread, chicken breast, cucumber, tomatoes and red hot pepper.

*Green Bean Thread is a noodle-thing that is found in an Asian grocery store.
