Grandma's Banana Cake

2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1-1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs
1 cup mashed bananas
3/4 cup buttermilk or sour milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Banana flavoring optional
1 cup nuts

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat until smooth and fluffy.

Add milk alternately with dry ingredients. Add flavorings. Pour batter into a 9"x13" greased and floured pan. Bake 30-35 minutes at 350 degrees.

Frost with cream cheese icing and sprinkle with nuts.
